Temco also provides training to its customers for a better understanding of the measurement and control of consistency.

Company History
TEMCO Engineering was founded in 1985 by Tom McCloskey. The company was founded for one purpose and one purpose only: To be an expert in Pulp Consistency for Pulp & Paper mills. 35 years and $28,000,000 in sales later, that same dedication to Pulp Consistency exists in all employees of TEMCO.

Company Operations
In the beginning, TEMCO specialized in remanufacturing other brands of consistency meters. The company gained a reputation on high quality service with fast response. They pioneered fixed price repairs with an exchange program on each type of consistency meter.

In the mid-1990s consistency meters were not as advanced as other industrial instruments. HART communication was not yet available to remotely recalibrate consistency meters. In early 1996, TEMCO developed the first HART + SMART precalibrated consistency meter. This new technology also made its consistency meters more reliable by replacing many mechanical components with electronics.

Today, TEMCO Engineering manufactures three consistency meters. Two are rotating style for large pipes, and one fixed blade for smaller mills. All three are precalibrated with HART + SMART electronics. This offers high accuracy with ease of calibration. All are manufactured from our one facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia, which is a suburb of Atlanta.
